Easy cocktail recipes – with The Soho Juice Co

Today I’m sharing some easy cocktail recipes. I love a cocktail and through the dark days of winter lockdown we started a regular cocktail and canapé Friday. A tradition we’ve kept up as it’s been so much fun. So I was delighted when I was sent some little cans of juice from The Soho Juice Co, making creating cocktails even easier.

These delightful soft drinks are preservative free, vegan certified and have no more than 50 calories. There are three delicious flavours. Apple, honey & lemon; blood orange, raspberry & ginger and cucumber, mint and lime.

Today I raided my liquor cupboard and found some dark rum which was perfect paired with the warmth of apple, honey & lemon. Just use a tot measure of the rum per can of drink, add a squeeze of lemon and serve over ice with a slice of lemon inside.

For a beautifully summery drink I used the blood orange, raspberry & ginger juice from The Soho Juice Co mixed with a tot measure of this delicious spiced sloe gin. Serve garnished with a slice of fresh orange.

Here it is in my beautiful garden setting. Happy summer! Of course the drinks are lovely on their own – a refreshing non-alcoholic beverage.

  1. Do you know Sandy, I have never ever had a cocktail other than what we used to call a Champagne cocktail which was champagne with a splash of brandy!! These look so simple I may have to break the habit of a lifetime! My drink pretty much every evening is a B & C (brandy and coke) – just like we used to drink on Colindale and Alabama when you couldn’t get much else that was drinkable! Gin made out of cane spirit Wine was pretty much not available or very expensive. And I have it out of the same glasses we used to have in Rhodesia and always say cheers to Gavin and friends departed like your dear Mum and Dad.

  2. Wow Michele, I can’t believe you’ve never had a cocktail. I will have to come and visit with a suitcase full of drinks to make some creative concoctions. I love that you use the same glasses and have a cheers to such important people. We miss them all.
