I love a salty snack. So I was delighted when a boxful of deliciousness arrived on my doorstep from the British Snack Company. One way to liven up the tedium of Lockdown 2.
I rummaged through the colourful box of packets to discover popcorn, crisps, pork crackling and even the most delightful ham snack called Lomo.
All so beautifully packaged. The crisp packets depict quintessential British scenes, I almost wanted to frame them. Like this London collage on their classic Sea Salt and Black Pepper flavour.

Other crisp flavours include: cheese & onion, sweet chilli, sea salt and roast beef.
There are two flavours of popcorn – sea salt and sweet & salty. More stunning packets, too.

Or how about some pork crackling from the Awfully Posh range. Available in sea salt and chilli & garlic flavours it’s made from pork rinds which are batch cooked and then sprinkled with salt or the salt, ancho chilli powder and roasted garlic mix which adds a real extra bite.

And finally. My favourite new salty snack – Lomo, also part of their Awfully Posh range. Made from Spanish pork loin cured with a blend of paprika and garlic, then sliced and air dried to produce the crunchiest, bacon-like snack. Double yum.
