It’s fair to say I do a lot of chopping in my kitchen…well it’s inevitable if you’re doing a lot of cooking. One of the most frustrating things I find about staying in a rented apartment is the quality of the knives – okay not the most insurmountable of problems but important for a cook.
So I was so happy to try the new knives from TheChefClub. The company was founded by Elliot Cao and consists of a group of entrepreneurs and engineers. The concept behind the knives is to produce professional standard, modern kitchen knives that are sharp, durable, easy to maintain and don’t cost a fortune.
I tested out the 8″ chef’s knife. Chef’s knives are handy as you can use them to prepare pretty much anything. I tested mine on vegetables, fruit and meat. The knife is beautifully streamlined, light and felt so comfortable in my hand and it was like slicing through soft butter. I actually emitted a “wow” on my first slice. Seriously! And I love the beautiful golden glow of it. It’s also incredibly easy to wipe clean.
